Which Side Will You Be On?

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that’s believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” John 11:25 KJV

There was a man who lived in Bethany, his name is Lazarus. He had two sisters, Mary and Martha. It is that Mary that anointed Jesus with ointment, and washed his feet with her hair. Thier brother, this man named Lazarus was sick.

The two sisters Mary and Martha, sent a message to Jesus, he said these words,

“When Jesus heard that he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.” John 11:4 KJV

The Gospel Of John

The Gospel of John continues on to tell us that Jesus  loved Martha, her sister Mary and her brother Lazarus in the bible.

John 11:5-6 KJV says this…

“Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister and Lazarus. When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.”

The Gospel goes on to tell that although Jesus almost got stoned in Judea, that they must go back because Lazarus sleepeth.

Jesus says this to his disciples…

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbled not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.” John 11:9-10 KJV

John 11:11 says…”These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth: but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.”

In this biblical account the same man, Lazarus  has died. Jesus was told that he was not doing well, and Jesus stayed two more days before he left to go to Lazarus. Now he is on his way to where he is. He knows that Lazarus has died. There is a place where Lazarus went when he died. It’s called the Bosom of Abraham.

The Gospel Of Luke

Bosom Of Abraham

Luke 16 :19-21, tells about the Bosom of Abraham. Jesus is speaking this and he is teaching us with this example of the rich man and Lazarus. Here is what he says,

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores. And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.” Luke 16:19-21 KJV

Luke 16:22-23, happens when both Lazarus and the rich man have died. This is where it gets pretty cool. There is a lot that Jesus, himself, is telling us between John 11 and Luke 16.

“And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham àfar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” Luke 16:22-23 KJV

“And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” Luke 16:24 KJV

Heart Of The Earth

This is such an awesome biblical account of Lazarus and Jesus. It gives us a glimpse into the heart of the earth where Jesus told us he would go when he died. He tells us in  Matthew 12:40 KJV

For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. “

This is still Jesus telling this parable,

“But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime  receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. ” Luke 16:25-26 KJV

A great gulf fixed between them. This gives you an actual visual of hell and the Bosom of Abraham. The end of this conversation is quite disturbing. These are the words of Abraham to the rich man across from him and Lazarus.

And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but it one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, if they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” John 16:30-31 KJV

Moses is saying that there are some that will not repent, even if they see and know that one has been raised from the dead. That’s a die-hard satan follower, like what the Antichrist will be like. When that time comes, the Lord God Almighty has already come and gotten His Bride. When the Bride of Christ leaves this earth, satan will completely rule it, for a short space. Question is, Which side will you be on?
