What Is The Ark Of The Covenant?

As I began writing, I looked up and asked the Lord, “What is the Ark of the Covenant?” To my surprise, when I picked up my cell phone to research that, a Golden Ark of the Covenant showed up, in the Spirit, on my cell phone. I asked Lord ” What does this mean?”  The word ” Icon” was given to me. I then looked up the meaning of the word “icon”  in the dictionary. The definition is ” a person or thing regarded as a representative symbol.” It also comes from the Greek word “eikeni” which means ” to be like.”

Let’s go back in biblical history about the Ark Of The Covenant to find out what this symbol really is.

A Man Named Moses

There was a man, named Moses. He was a prophet of God. One day, the LORD said to Moses,

“At that time the LORD saith unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood. And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest , and thou shalt put them in the ark.” Deuteronomy 10:1-2

It’s seems there was a mishap with the first tables, so the LORD was telling Moses what to do, but this time, he was to build an ark, this ark was to put the second tables into. How awesome is that!

Moses goes on to tell us this,

“And I made an ark of shittin wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand. And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me. And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.” Deuteronomy 10:3-5 KJV

The Ark of the Covenant was made. The top of the Ark is known as …..The Mercy Seat. In the Book of Exodus, God tells Moses this

“And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give them. And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubics and a half shall be the length thereof and a cubic and a half the breadth thereof.” Exodus 25:16-17 KJV

Jesus Is The Mercy Seat

The message the LORD wants you to hear, is that the Ark Of The Covenant was the Mercy Seat at that time in biblical history. He had Moses make the Mercy Seat here on earth, as it is in heaven.  Today, we know the Mercy Seat as…..Jesus. Jesus now sits at the right hand of Father in heaven, replacing the mercy seat on Ark Of The Covenant.

In the Book of Romans, The Word tells us this,

“But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” Romans 5:8-10 KJV

It is at The Mercy Seat where your sins are forgiven. So, the Icon I was shown, in the Spirit, that was on my phone,  of the Ark Of The Covenant means that that through Repenting to Jesus of your sins, that forgiveness is given. He and Only Him can forgive you of your sins. For it is Jesus Christ who is our Mercy Seat.
