Israel’s Biblical History is rich and mysteries are unfolding every day. As I was in a conversation with the Lord one morning, he led me to Mark 14, to the story of the last supper. Holy Spirit highlighted Mark 14:25,
“Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until the day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”
Jesus spoke these words during the Passover meal in the upper room. The upper room being a dining room that was set aside, for Jesus and his disciples to partake of the Passover during the Jewish Feast of Unleavened Bread. The importance of this is that it would be his last meal with his disciples. Soon, that night, he would be arrested and then crucified on a cross.
However, that is not the message I am to write. The message is, the kingdom of God. Just what is….the kingdom of God?
At the time of this writing, there is a pandemic of a viruse called covid-19, it is a global virus and even a new strand of it has come forth. Everyone is taking precautions and doing that very well, I might add.
So that is the world climate as well as wars, and rumors of wars which will happen until Jesus returns.
So I proceeded to pray and, Luke 13 was my next stop. For then, from heaven above…Jesus smiled greatly, a big grin came out of heaven, this was it. One of those, ya know, that you know, that you know moments. When ya get a grin out of heaven….it’s an awesome thing. The Mustard Seed. He wants people to know about The Mustard Seed. Amen right? It’s a high-five moment I got a JESUS GRIN!!

A Mustard Seed
Ok, so I turned to the Gospel of Luke. Jesus is actually on his way to Jerusalem. The climate at the time was that people were being killed because of their sin. It seems your wealth was the determining factor of how sinful you were or were not. Wealthy meant very upright and sinless and being poor meant you were a vile and sinful person deserving death. And so they were putting people to death.
It was on the Sabbath when Jesus was teaching, and he healed a woman who had an infirmity that made the tempers flair up of the ruler of the synagogue. Tempers were high, Luke 13:15 tells of this
“The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?” Luke 13: 15:16.

Luke 13:17-19 goes on to tell of the mustard seed.
“And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.”
The seed grows! A great tree is grown. This means you start out small and grow big. It takes diligence, keeping your eyes on the Lord. You truly are removed from the world and become a carrier of the Kingdom of God.

It’s Holy Spirit that sets the carriers of the Kingdom of God apart from the world.
Remember, you are of God. You have overcome!
