Jesus says, ” I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” John 10:9 KJV
A door, it opens and it closes. Does the door to the Kingdom of Heaven ever close? Let’s find out.
As I was praying and asking if the door ever closes, Holy Spirit led me to Matthew 7:23. This is what it says,
” And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that worketh iniquity.”
Wow, okay, the door is closed. But what was Jesus talking about? The scripture Holy Spirit gave me is part of the famous Sermon on the Mount by Jesus. Also called The Beatitudes. This sermon can be found in the Gospel of Matthew, chapters 5,6, and 7. Jesus says a lot in this sermon but for now, the question still remains if the door closes to the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Father’s Will
So, those who do the will of the Father are the ones who enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. The ones who do the iniquities, the door is closed and, Jesus tells them ” he never knew them.” Ouch, can you imagine Jesus telling you he never knew you? Wow, and the lake of fire is real. That’s the only other option because you just don’t poof out and that’s it.
What is iniquity anyway? I looked that up just to refresh my memory. It’s evil doing, or other words for it are, corruption, immorality, and debauchery. Not good things that’s for sure.

The Day Of Judgement
This is a day we will all face. The question is really simple. Am I doing the will of God, the Father, or not. That is the way to keep the door open and not have it closed in your face.
Although I won’t get to deep into the story of God flooding the earth because of all the iniquities on the earth. People in that Era were actually pounding on the doors of the Ark for Noah to let them in. Noah, having spent 100 or so years of his life being obedient to God and His Will, not to mention all the redicule from the people he endured…. That Door was CLOSED by God to all others, Allowing only Noah and his family the Open Door.

Is Your House Built On Rock Or Sand?
The words of Jesus at the ending of the Sermon on the Mount are perfect.
“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew; and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” Matthew 7:25-27 KJV
