Story of Jesus and the sea of Galilee is very inspiring indeed. He calmed the storm and fed five thousand people with a few fish and a couple of loaves of bread. How can that be?
The Gospels give an account of these, as well as, when Jesus walked on the water of the sea of Galilee. This is amazing stuff.
This is Part 1 of 3 posts of The Miracles of Jesus.
The Kingdom Of God

Mark 4:31 KJV
The parable of the mustard seed was actually preached by Jesus the very same day of the miracle that night on the sea of Galilee.
It was also in the very early times of Jesus’s ministry before the Cross of Golgotha that this happened. Sometimes it helps to have a time line of the events in the Bible. As I mentioned, these two events happened in the same day, early in His ministry.

And The Same Day…
“And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, ‘Let us pass over unto the other side.'” Mark 4:35
“And when he had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.” Mark 4:36
“And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.” Mark 4:37

“And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we parish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, ‘Peace, be still.’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. ” Mark 4:38-39
“And he said into them, ‘Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?’ And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” Mark 4:40-41
Clearly the disciples were amazed and feared exceedingly, as the Bible says, at what they witnessed Jesus do. A Miracle of calming the storm.
