The Gospel of Mark says this,
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; Mark 1:1
One would have to admit, I mean, even the most skeptical, that those words pack a mighty punch, There is no room for any different interpretation other than exactly what it says. Mark is actually a disciple of Jesus who was often called the Evangelist which Acts 12:12 speaks of. Although he was not one of the twelve Apostles, he did live in the first century and he gives the accounts of Jesus’ life.
In Mark 1, these scriptures that are written, tell us about Jesus calling Simon and his brother Andrew, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John.
As it says in Mark 1:21-22,
And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. And they were astonished at his doctrine, for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.”
Luke 7:1-5 tells us how and how healed a servant.
“Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. And when he heard of Jesus he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this. For he loveth our nation, and hath built us a synagogue.”

Jesus lived in Capernaum and Jesus in the Synagogue of Capernaum taught very often, it is said in scripture he was there on a regular basis. Luke 4:31-37 says this,
And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days. And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice. Saying, Let us alone, what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One Of God. And Jesus rebuked him saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.”
